It was our first day in Rereroa today. We did a school tour first, and we looked at our classrooms, we found the toilets, the buddy bench where we can find a friend, and we found out we can play on the senior playground now!
Next, we did a Human Treasure Hunt. We had to find out about people's holidays, and get them to sign our sheet. We talked to the teachers, and we talked to heaps of people in Ngahere. Here are some photos:
After lunch, we read the story of Awarua - a taniwha, and Rereroa - an albatross (our class name, and the name of Whaea Helga's class next door). We learnt that the wingspan (both wings spread out from tip to tip) of an albatross is 3 metres! The photo below is how many tamariki would fit on an albatross' wings!
We met and made new friends, we learnt some new stuff, we got heaps of Dojo points, and we had fun!

Awesome :)
